Reading, Pa. based extreme metal platoon, Divination has called to arms “The Age of Man,” their second full length album on DRP Records. Featuring 10 songs that are nothing less than brutal, unrelenting and flat out heavier than Hell. With napalm spewing guitars, machine gun drumming at hellfire missle speeds and shrapnel gargling vocals, Divination have abandoned their strict Death Metal course of action and expanded their arsenal with munitions of Thrash, Hardcore, Black Metal and Progressive Metal. These guys have been in the trenches since 1994 and are still slaying with their blitzkrieg live show, sniper precision song crafting and presence more explosive than a box full of grenades have allowed them to turn the heads of their national touring peers, turn fans into soldiers for their cause and made Rambo pee in his pants.
It has been five long years since the first DRP release of “Three Nails of Fate” which included the Sirius Radio exposed track “God’s End”. Three Nails was followed by tracks on some high profile CD compilations (such as “From The Shadows” which also included tracks from Anthrax, Mastodon, and Dillinger Escape Plan) and support slots for Testament, God Forbid, Black Dahlia Murder, Exodus, Cannibal Corpse and others garnered momentum for the next album. Lineup changes at the vocalist and bassist positions and writing experimentation have now paid off. The glorious results are now able to be heard on the new 2010 release of Age Of Man. Divination have the secret to staying power under lock and key and you can bet your foxhole that they will be on the front lines for a long time to come.
